Standard propagation of large tips Root in shade/filtered light--not in full sun Don't water for two weeks, then only lightly--never soggy. Let roots form over 5-6 weeks. Maybe a few months. Best is in spring and summer time. Hard to root in winter (dormant) season. As ribs swell full you know there is a good root system bringing in lots of water. Do not allow to dry out in full sun/overheat roots. Bury pots in ground, or plant in ground, or use largest possible container, lots of drainage (perlite/sand) and keep well watered in hot summer.
